Hmm, so if Xcel says you’re no longer in the expected outage area, but the map still shows you are in it, do I eat all of the ice cream tonight? Just some wind wonderings. #cowx

They just tear-gassed us. They tried to run us over in a van holding a peaceful protester. They shot us with pepper balls. They dragged another protester into the facility.
moments ago, ice agents again came out of the broadview detention/“professing” facility to escort a silver suv out of the lot.

one of the agents picked up and threw congressional candidate kat abughazaleh to the ground.

As a guy who got a cancer that was probably caused by a virus, I think we should have /more/ vaccines.

“Vaxx and relax” was never a good strategy for Covid.

The vaccines are great at keeping people out of hospital, but they don’t stop transmission and they don’t prevent Long Covid.

Those of us who know this never stopped masking.

With the US restricting vaccines, it’s time to mask back up!

Did you know that most Medicaid enrollees already work?

But this bill's new red tape would punish those who don't, including seniors caregivers, people with disabilities, and students.

We just walked out of the state of the Union. My shirt showed Trump an important message: NO KINGS LIVE HERE.

In the spirit of student protestors from the Civil Rights Movement, I’m proud to have protested and walked out with many of my colleagues. This is NOT a normal time.

When a non disabled person gets hurt or seriously ill, they don’t hesitate to go to hospital

They have faith they’ll be treated quickly, feel “better” & get to go home

When you’re disabled, you learn to avoid hospital at all costs.

Your faith in healthcare vanishes & that loss is painful:
"I Won't Go to the ER Unless I'm Literally Dying"
When you're disabled or chronically ill - learning when to seek medical care (and what that care will look like) is a painful and traumatic journey. It often ends in "I will never go to the ER again."

The House is considering cutting up to $880 billion dollars from Medicaid.

This would have a catastrophic impact on people with disabilities. Congress needs to keep their hands off Medicaid.

As the U.S. shifts into a volatile political landscape targeting critical thinking, I want to share an important reminder to the #booksky community:

The only way to preserve literature is by collecting physical copies.

I know, Kindle users, it sucks—but your digital copy can be deleted any time.

Proud of everyone in the Covid cautious & disability communities who’re tirelessly handing out masks & purifiers in LA.

Many have been clean air advocates throughout the pandemic & villainized for not following the “back to normal”‘narrative.

Without them, thousands wouldn’t have masks right now
