As an avid fan from the 80s/90s, I can confirm they took the toy line in some really weird directions.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures was the foundation of Playmates. It's what put them on the map. It's what let them snag the Star Trek franchise in the 90s.

First of all, he rejects the notion that masculinity & femininity vary depending on historical time and culture. Secondly, saying toxic masculinity is just misogyny shows a lack of comprehension of language.
