We are only 40 odd days into this year and it is the only year of my life where there could be four plane crashes in a 40 day period and the entire country did not rise into a mass panic that threatened the very stability of the airline industry. We are just a tired, beaten nation huh

not trying to pick on this guy. this just reminded me that the federal government does not provide coffee to workers. to drink coffee at a federal office you generally have to pay into a "coffee club" that is managed by a staffer who volunteers to collect money and purchase a monthly coffee supply.

One reason the press is being very cautious about talking about a constitutional crisis is that the top Democrats in the country are talking about high grocery prices. Try to imagine it from their perspective: how do they report on a "crisis" that even the opposition doesn't seem to acknowledge?
I really don't understand the ambiguity here. Trump deputized the richest man on the planet to unilaterally cut off congressionally-funded and congressionally-authorized agencies. A power which neither of them can wield legitimately. That was the beginning of the constitutional crisis right there.

There appear to be at least three separately operating heel factions breaking things within the government in wholly different ways right now. There's the Miller-headed immigration one, the DOGE/Elon one, and a Project 2025 OMB one. This dynamic hasn't showed up in mainstream reporting at all.
