Decades of the white nationalist movement evolving to adapt to current political trends has brought them to this moment.

It is very important to remember, to not let them erase, that "1/6" was not single violent dat, it was an organized, calculated PLOT that played out over weeks. The mob violence was only one part of it, and possibly even disrupted the real parts from happening
I find it strange that this incident has somehow been memory holed in the collective political consciousness

It’s weird to discuss politics, parties, horse race etc without this being the first topic in every conversation

In an important sense all other details about politics are irrelevant

It’s truly amazing how Zelensky is able to see up close and personal what Putin is doing to his country and its people day after day with barbarity and cruelty, then stand next to Trump without losing it while he makes asinine statements expressing sympathy for the mass murderer.

A third of the women in the maternity ward have life-threatening complications that could be treated simply with food.

They suffer from anemia and high blood pressure.

Their babies are born early, weighing too little and with underdeveloped lungs.

Relatedly, we obtained an unpublished history of Stephen Miller's ancestors' immigration to the US, written by his grandmother. People like them were attacked in terms very similar to the ones Miller and MAGA use about today's immigrants:

Simply incredible. Stephen Miller is so far down the ideological rabbit hole that he doesn't even realize this badly undermines his case against immigrants.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

Nothing to see here. This is definitely a normal post that perfectly demonstrates appropriate behavior for a man with grave responsibilities to the nation and absolutely, positively does not show psychological derangement and incapacity to serve as president under section 4 of the 25th Amendment.

Consider it as a political message and political progression. When Francis was elected they told him while still in the chapel, "Remember the poor." He did. That was at the center. And I am no expert but I don't think he ever said something as explicit as this.
Pope Leo said in a Christmas Eve sermon that the story of Jesus being born in a stable because there was no room at an inn should remind Christians that refusing to help the poor and strangers today is tantamount to rejecting God himself. For @reuters.com
