One of the best paid family and medical leave programs in the entire country is starting here in Minnesota on January 1st.

I've been organizing for over 12 years, and we finally got it done.

afaik adams is currently in a hospital bed, paralyzed from aggressively metastisized prostate cancer, his window of time on this earth rapidly closing. and he's spending that time retweeting mike cernovich struggling and failing to understand the point and purpose of foreign aid
This thought has been lingering in my head for a while but this tweet prompted me to write it out.

something very important for Dems to realize is that the tech overlords are not people you can win back by promising a lighter touch and saying a few nice things

they’ve gotten a taste of mask-off fascism and they are not going back, they don’t want to play nice with the peons anymore
There’s a funny Politico story showing that the latest polling on AI shows 80-20 in favor of heavy regulations, an absolute slam dunk platform, but Dems are worried about not winning back mask-off tech CEO donors

$200 will buy us a safe tent 🙏

This, combined with "vice signaling" (taking pride in antisocial behavior) has given us the reign of the Stupid Asshole, something most people are against, but can only be remedied if we're not too polite to talk about it
An essential development over the past decade-plus is that the ignorant went from feeling chastened when their ignorance was revealed to banding together and deciding that, actually, they were right. They might disagree at times, but they agreed that ignorance itself was an indicator of trust.

1) This is what every single AIPAC Congressional trip, J-Street tour, Birthright Israel vacation, etc does but for Jews.

2) "going to Israel to tour the West Bank" gives away the game does it not?

While U.S. families struggle through an affordability crisis, mass incarceration still costs taxpayers $182 billion a year.

That's a lot of money that could be spent on communities instead of cages.

Yep. As we try to show in this piece, Stephen Miller's real aim is to unmake the world created by the 1965 immigration act:
Historian here people forget the immigration regime being championed by the Trump regime and its bigoted heart in Miller. Make America 1924 again.

Ok all sarcasm aside, what these white supremacists are really talking about is when they are asked to apologize for doing racist things. Which happens. Because racism is something to apologize for. What they are saying is that no one should have to apologize for racist actions or statements.
Next time someone says they don’t have to apologize for being white anymore, ask them to tell about the most recent time they were forced to apologize for being white and who made them do it.

It took a lot of recent refugees gathered together at Los Alamos to make an atom bomb. Not just Fermi.
Immigrant-hating Stephen Miller talks about Americans being "first to harness the atom." But the first controlled, self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction was conducted by a team led by Italian immigrant Enrico Fermi, who didn't become a U.S. citizen until a year and a half later.
