Everyone hearing this news will have the same one-word reaction. Might be sad, might be pissed, might be a dozen different feelings, but they’ll use that single word to express themselves, just like he could. A great, special actor.
Whitlock made "Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit" into more than a quippy catchphrase. It's Clay Davis' ethos, a justifiably incredulous reaction illustrating how he, and often the audience, viewed the machinations of Baltimore. It's a pillar for the whole fully realized, wonderfully played character. #RIP

Writing a piece for Glorious Noise taught me that I really shouldn’t write “pieces” — I can aspire to the occasional quality quip and that’s about it.
But maybe you will feel differently! 25 years of history is not to be scoffed at and Jake is the kind of guy whose knowledge equals his passion.
