It is maddening how little doctors know about a condition that affects ~40% of the population.
Most women have uterine fibroids. Doctors have no idea why.
These solid lumps of muscle, some the size of a watermelon, can dramatically affect a woman’s quality of life and fertility. But lasting treatments are scarce.

I work 50 meters from a lab where they recently identified a body recovered from a GPR search. A child who died at residential school, and was finally returned to their family.

The fact of the matter is that even if we removed all dehumanizing immigration restrictions, the vast majority of people would stay where they are because barring overwhelming danger most people don't like uprooting themselves to move to a strange place where they don't know anybody

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) paid $18 million for a chatbot named Charlie, which the auditor general reported gave her team the wrong answer 66% of the time.

The chatbot's responses were found to be brief and lacking context, with only 2 out of 6 questions answered accurately.

I’ve heard from immigration attorneys that clients say ICE guards lay out the WRAP device (essentially a full-body straitjacket) on the tarmac as a threat — “do what we say or you’re getting the WRAP on the whole flight.”
