For any westerners about there curious about Buddhism, I would highly recommend the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh. He's one of the few religious figures I actually admire and I wish more Buddhists would listen to his teachings, especially in the West.

Seattle Mariners have a shot at the World Series. They have a great squad of young talent, great pitching staff and have the winning team culture they need. I‘m very excited to watch them next season.

Imagine how scary an MLB team with an owner who didn’t care that much about money would be. Instead of paying some random greedy guy a bajillion dollars they could just get good players and win the World Series

I think it should be mandatory for everyone to have a summer job at some point in years 18-22, and that summer job should be something unglamorous like landscaping or fast food. That would make society a significantly better place

There was a time when A-Rod and Derek Jeter were beloved in New York beyond anyone else. I wasn’t really into baseball at the time but I could still tell you that Jeter’s number was 2 and that A-Rod wasn’t a cheater.

When I was in high school I didn’t understand why Yuri Kochiyama admired Osama bin Laden but as I see how America is just kind of falling apart because of 9/11 now I kind of see where she was coming from.
