It is impossible to overstate the degree to which the entire national political media's coverage of the 2024 presidential campaign, especially once Harris won the nomination, was deeply, fundamentally, shamefully unserious about the stakes & the candidates.

Again, taking what Vance says at face value, in what logical world does it make sense to shoot a driver with a car pointed at you?! If you shoot them, they can slump over and push down on the gas pedal accelerating even faster towards you unable to stop. It's not even logical as self defense.

The ironic thing about this is that his identity became known because Kristi Noem mentioned this officer had been hit and dragged by a car in June in Minnesota. Only 1 officer matched that description in court documents.

A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.
