American cops are, without a doubt, undertrained.

That's also, to a fair extent, irrelevant to what we're seeing here.

An officer deliberately aiming a firearm at a reporter and pulling the trigger isn't a matter of training. It's a matter of "the cops want to shoot reporters"

These are LAPD—police—not ICE or DHS officers participating in a violent crackdown of a protest against ICE detentions and deportations.

The militarization of police forces in the aftermath of 9/11 was always meant NOT to protect the people but to protect the government FROM the people.
LAPD is now joining the fray. They are firing rounds of less lethals

The White House is deporting people to countries they're not from. Why?

How many Republicans have spoken out against Trump's threat to suspend habeas corpus?

How many Republicans have spoken out against Trump's "gift" from Qatar?

How many Republicans--and other Republican-adjacent elites--put the Constitution above Trump?

The sad answer: vanishingly close to zero.

Approximately 36.5 million of them are children

And MAGA Republicans want to take it away from them-to pay for Donald Trump's tax cuts for billionaires

It's cruel

It's heartless

Before the election, I warned that there is no safe haven under authoritarianism.

If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison—accused of no crime, with no trial—they can do it to anyone.

Americans of conscience must stand against this now.

This country is becoming unrecognizable. What we’re seeing is state-funded fear. We’ve warned people: keep filming, go live on social media so these moments are documented and shared. This wasn’t a case involving masked ICE agents—but that’s happening too.
