The biggest thing we need to do is let people know that the protests are FUN. Yelling fuck the man is fun. You will meet fun people.

We also need to make them more fun. Bring grills like the French. Bring instruments like it’s Mardi Gras. Give people a reason to spend their weekend in the streets.

I am optimistic because I am not alone.

I hope today demonstrates that truth to every American. We are not alone. The People have the power.

The United States is currently a country where you can be kidnapped by secret police and shipped off to a slave labour concentration camp without ever being charged with a crime or getting a chance to argue your case in front of a judge.

If you think it can't happen to you, why do you think that?
It sure looks like they’re going all in on the “the executive branch can ignore court orders if it thinks the court lacks jurisdiction” thing

Friendly reminder that anyone within the jurisdiction of the United States is entitled to due process.

It is NOT dependent on one's citizenship, immigration, or criminal status.

Worst two-day stock market crashes in the U.S. by percentage loss:

1. 1929 (the Great Depression)

2. 1987 (Black Monday)

3. 2008 (the Great Recession)

4. YESTERDAY AND TODAY

And while this happened, the man responsible for it was golfing and dining with enemies of America.

I'm trying so hard to keep my energy at work and home positive and hopeful, but some days are just crushing and the despair washes over me.

If we all survive this & there's democracy and rule of law on the other side, we need to have a tribunal to call to account the many injustices.

They are just disappearing people off the street. Having a hard time thinking about literally anything else.
Not sure if this has been shared here yet, but this is video of Rumeysa Ozturk's arrest posted by WCVB. It's terrifying.

Is there a way I can be a freelance restaurant worker? I don’t want to be an employee of any one company, but I could fill in for someone who calls out last-minute and there is no staff available to cover their shift. Busser, server, prep cook you name it. I’m your substitute. Is this a thing?
