Hi new followers! I'm K, a fantasy writer with a love of dragons and history.

My current WIP is a epic fantasy series that's basically HOUSE OF THE DRAGON meets the family dynamics of ARCANE. It's also open for beta readers! The awesome art of my two girls is by @dudkaart.bsky.social

And as someone whose maternal family is Ukrainian, though positive it is still a bit jarring to see Ukrainians portrayed now as a European heroic warrior people if you think back to how many of the same pundits and political figures portrayed East Europeans as criminal "others" before 2016

My entire undergrad and grad studies were focused on Central and Eastern Europe and Poland, in particular. So it was pretty easy for me to make the fantasy setting inspired by 17-18th c. Poland-Lithuania.

(Also there was a semi-popular YA series that butchered Poland and I was like oh hell no)

I felt like doodling outrageous fantasy clothing the other day, so I drew my Midgard character Brynn.
She's a fortune knight and she likes money, horses and boys. She kinda sucks, but thinks she's a princess.
She also loves scrapbooking.

There's no Halloween in Lenska, but there is Dziady (Forefather's Eve), a holiday where the dead are honored by placing candles on graves and a feast held at home with the deceased's favorite food.

Since Wanda has something of an obsession with death, it's her favorite holiday.
