If you see National Guard service members out in our communities, they're here to keep Washingtonians safe. I deeply appreciate the work they're doing.

Wazzu has got a coach!

May he stay for at least 4 successful going to bowl game years in Pullman.

In Cougar Gold’s name we pray.

SOURCES: Mizzou OC Kirby Moore will be the new head coach at Washington State. The former Boise State WR, the younger brother of Kellen Moore, grew up about 160 miles from Pullman. His offense was No. 1 in rushing in the SEC and ranked 4th in 3rd down offense.

In terms of US politics, Bush v. Gore is the defining event of the century. It set the template: a ruthless right that instinctively seeks power & doesn't give a shit about rule of law...and a bunch of hapless, feckless octogenarian Dems worried about the good opinion of centrist opinion columnists.
The 25th anniversary of Bush v Gore is today. The conspiracy mongering & corruption of the GOP has been brewing for a long time.

Roberts, Barrett and Kavanaugh were all on Bush's legal team, where they pushed unfounded legal theories. SC justices were already enmeshed in voter fraud myths.
Here's Sandra Day O'Connor endorsing News Max levels of voter fraud conspiracies in the 2000 election.

👀 I am unnerved that he has not attacked us yet and also did something decent?
I just received a phone call from Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. Secretary Noem informed me that the president signed our request for an emergency declaration. We have also received written confirmation of that emergency declaration.

This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

Nooo! Not Seattle’s Chalamet! 😭
I'm told that Paul Rothrock is in advanced conversations with the San Jose Earthquakes & all though there are a couple of other clubs still interested, #Quakes74 is currently the front runner.

The #Sounders haven't closed the door on Rothrock but ultimately is up to the player.

NEW: Trump Has Already Shattered FEMA Without Eliminating It

Today's FEMA Review Council meeting was abruptly canceled.

Our @kennystancil.bsky.social explains how, even if the council doesn't recommend abolishing FEMA, the Trump administration is still actively destroying the agency.

Medicare for all, paid leave, universal childcare.

Busting up big corporations and tackling Wall Street’s greed.

Getting big money out of politics.

Supporting unions and fighting for higher wages.

If Dems want to win back working people, this is the agenda they must support.

Seattle is known for its rain, so to outsiders, this may seem like an ordinary occurrence, but it's not. It is REALLY REALLY wet right now and the rain keeps falling — not the persistent Seattle mist of yesteryear, but a continuous rain that doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon.

16 years later, the GOP's health care "plan" is still the same: give billions in tax breaks to their insurance CEO donors, while jacking up costs on working families.

Gutting health care subsidies & tax credits this year WAS their plan. That's why they can't & won't come up with anything else.
House GOP leaders in a private meeting presented no firm plan for advancing health care legislation. Vulnerable members warned of political fallout.
