A 🧵 of my published work in 2024:
A fantastic story by @erikatwurth.bsky.social. As with WHITE HORSE, she deftly blends horror and mystery, while also incorporating indigenous history and emotional heft. Grab a copy!

Very proud of this story! A big thank you to @talestoterrify.bsky.social for bringing it to life.
Welcome to episode 719. First, we meet a woman with a hunger for justice. Then, a man fears for his relationship thanks to his girlfriend’s obsession with a chatbot (by

Don't forget that Zohran Mamdani spent his entire campaign standing proudly beside the trans community. He went to trans rights rallies just to show support. He proudly waved trans rights flags without hesitation. He refused to back down in support of trans rights. That makes me happy.

Rocked out 'till my joints ached, then came home and watched a Japanese horror movie 🤘 Successful birthday in my book.

It’s not my birthday unless I’m reading a spooky book. Here’s to another trip around the sun.

I keep returning to this clip. I came of age during the alt-right YouTube days where "pwning feminism" drove clicks. And I'm watching it all happen again, this time with billionaires funding and fueling boys' insecurities, creating broken, toxic men who hate everyone - including themselves.
AOC: And they are able to radicalize a generation of young boys in particular, away from healthy masculinity and into an insecure masculinity that requires the domination of others who are poorer, browner, darker, or a different gender than them.

Watching VHS Halloween and enjoying it so far, though I noticed what looks like an AI photo in the first short film.

It's a small detail, especially in a very well directed short film (with some great creature and set design) but that makes the usage of AI all the more disappointing.

Don’t Fear the Reaper popped up in my playlist for the first time in forever during my drive home, with the sun setting behind the mountains, and now I have some ideas brewing that I need to scribble down.

Couldn’t agree with this more. Not only does our algorithm-focused entertainment model trap us in binge-watching loops, it also prioritizes the safe and the nostalgic over all else - encouraging endless rewatches of Friends or The Office over a new show or an original movie.
