City just aren’t very good. There’s no indication whatsoever that they’re capable of going on a long winning run. And that fact should give Arsenal the confidence to go on and win the league from here.

An interesting graph: we face by far the deepest defensive low blocks of any team in the league (look at how much space opponents give Man City - tossers). We also play with the highest defensive line.

Wish there was as much talk about City's 115 charges as there is about Arsenal being better at corners than other teams

Leeds have a -11 goal difference. -9 of that has come against Arsenal.

Sounds like Arsenal had their reset yesterday.

Arteta about the meeting: “We took a moment to bring the temperature down, to pause, reflect - and ask two questions.

“One is how do we feel, and how do I feel myself?

“And then, how do we want to live the next four months?”
The anxiety around Arsenal’s title race is understandable given their recent history - and the fact they’ve waited 22 years to lift the title.

But the United game should also act as an emotional reset and a reminder of where they are.

Arsenal's biggest leads lost in title race as damning stats leave them nervous

He’s mostly struggled but I think we have to lean into Eze at some point. Whether it’s coming in off the left or playing more central, we’ve got a consistent, obvious threat in key areas that we’re not maximising.

Him and Merino again? I wouldn’t be against it.

It’s very obviously not the reason Arsenal lost but I will be curious on how the handball stuff will be explained with VAR. I don’t know how this doesn’t qualify under the rules.

I think this rule is kind of dumb but it is the rule that even accidental it doesn’t matter.

Arsenal's last three games:

Goals scored 2
Expected Goals 3.9

Shots on target allowed 3
Goals conceded 3
Expected Goals Against 1.4

Two points from a possible nine.

29% of the goals Arsenal have conceded this season in the Premier League have come from shots from outside the box - the highest proportion of any team in the competition.

Feel like I could automate the copy and paste on this on a regular basis.
Arsenal continue to take more risks in their own defensive third than in attack.

In a whole swamp of negatives, Mikel Merino once more looked like such an effective presence around the penalty area. He links play, gets shots and keeps a cool head. He's not perfect but given the form of the alternatives, he should be leading the line for Arsenal again.

On the failing to capitalize on City Dropping points narrative here is how things stack up.

Arsenal have had the opportunity 8 times, they have gotten max points 5 times, and picked up points 6 times. So they are 6/8 on picking up points

Minutes played by player this season (as shared on r/Gunners on Reddit).

I think the minutes shared across the team have largerly been fair. Norgaard and Madueke could have definitely had a higher share of minutes.

The truth about the "hard men" of football is that almost all of their acts of violence on the pitch are/were committed on players who never had a chance to defend themselves. Tackles from behind. Elbows to the face. Studs raking the achilles. Cowardice is at the heart of the macho posturing.

Gary Neville saying on the air that a Liverpool player should have struck Gabriel Martinelli should get him suspended from broadcasting for a weekend (or more).

That is completely inappropriate and irresponsible from a broadcaster.
