UI/UX animation dude. creating and consuming. tweets about politics, movies, tv, headphones, action figures, video games, and a general malaise.
It’s been bugging me for a while now but it’s official. iOS keyboard is just straight up broken. Tesla is the company that is the figurehead of enshittification but this is basic stuff that Apple should not be fucking up.

Every Democrat running for office needs to promise investigations and full prosecutions from top to bottom, remove its funding bloat then break up the agency and distribute its core remaining useful functions across other agencies.
ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

Place your stereo speakers as far apart as you can, and angle them inwards so they crossover a few ft in front of your seated position. It looks weirder than facing fwd but extreme toe-in images really well and provides a wider sweet spot than pointing the speakers directly at the prime user’s ears.

I feel like there’s this huge discrepancy between corporate and non-corporate workers when it comes to AI. To anyone who isn’t in corporate life and is wondering why so many people are using AI, they’re shoving it down our throats. They’re making non-proficiency in AI into a mark against you.

Just a reminder that Dave Chappelle is just like MTG or Liz Cheney. Good on cultural issues that impact them personally, unforgivably lousy about everything else.

Thank you, AI, for an entirely new shitty type of social media interaction where you ask a question and someone replies by repeating what ChatGPT said and adds nothing substantial of their own.

The DNC is simply protecting the corporatist "centrist" wing of the party by burying thir 2024 election autopsy. There's no planet on which the DNC would bury a report that they could use to blame the left for losing an election.

Rob Reiner could’ve made a great STAR TREK movie based on his skill set as a filmmaker, back when they didn’t have to be so action focused (not necessarily a complaint, just adding context for my comment).

If a billionaire really wanted to test my commitment to the class war, they’d bankroll the total cost of remastering DEEP SPACE NINE in 4K. Too bad Ellison’s project to put all of Hollywood under his right thumb isn’t about profits, but I have a feeling all his acquisitions will lose money anyways.

CBS News has these 2 stories online ...
Dec. 12: "Trump says leaders of Thailand, Cambodia agree again to stop fighting"
Dec. 13: "Fighting rages on Thai-Cambodian border despite Trump's ceasefire claim"
Which one is displayed on CBS' homepage? The out-of-date one that makes Trump look good.

To anyone with a decent BS detector, it's obvious the reason why the WH is freaking the fuck out about an innocuous Mark Kelly video about disobeying illegal orders is because they have/are/will be issuing illegal orders. The corporate media's non-reaction to all of this is so damning.

Besides Legacy, which has a mix of new and old characters, the modern duo I most want to see more of in Trek are Mariner and Boimler.

I am not blind to how opportunists on the right, like Bannon and MTG, who are more adept at populist rhetoric, want to offer their supporters something tangible, but right-wing populism is mostly culture war cosplay.

NEWS --> BBC confirms to me that they did edit a line out of historian @rutgerbregman.com's speech. It called Trump "the most openly corrupt president in US history."

BBC also confirms this was done on the advice of lawyers. So Trump's threats worked.

Trump’s Fury at BBC Gets Unnerving Results with Pro-MAGA Edit Stunner
First, British Broadcasting Corporation execs resigned after Trump complained about a segment. Now the BBC edited out a line from a historian that was critical of Trump. Where does this end?

The diff between Mamdani and Whitmer meeting trump is partially about gender but mostly it’s about trust. If a male mainstream Dem governor went to the WH (without establishing clear red lines -aka: values- beforehand, because that’s how mainstream Dems practice politics), I’d be sus of them too.
