Be realistic, demonizing chasing trends can be self destructive for growth. The current financial climate across the world is terrible, if you have to draw Sonic Yaoi to keep a roof over your head there is no shame in that.

This is something I try to emphasize whenever I do content about animation especially - it is so deeply, FUNDAMENTALLY a collaborative art. Nobody's role on a production is disposable.
In animation I've seen plenty of people assume their dept. is the hardest/most vital. As someone who's worked from vis dev to final stringout I can tell you: it's all vital. It's all skilled work. An engine is an important car part, but it still won't run without wheels. Be a team, not a tier list.
