i'd add to this that at one point, cfc's were everywhere and in millions of major appliances around the world when we decided they were destroying the planet. nothing industry creates is "inevitable" or "here to stay" no matter how ubiquitous
just a collection of "inevitable" multi-billion dollar tech that was going to be the future of everything until everyone in the audience who was supposed to just get on board said "lol no"

ICE is going after people who commit fewer crimes than U.S. born citizens. They're robbing people, hurting people, using racial profiling, violating due process, hurting children, and going after American citizens while they do. This is an illegal criminal enterprise from head to toe.

In late 2020 a Chinese man called Guan Heng travelled to Xinjiang with our BuzzFeed map of detention facilities to provide ground truth for our work - he provided the first corroborating evidence for many sites.

He escaped to the US - then ICE detained him.
