I just saw the strangest thing scampering through the trees outside my window. There's a squirrel with black forequarters and hindquarters, with a white band all the way around its midsection. Black squirrels are common enough here, but this one is really striking. Are pied squirrels a thing?

Gonna be real... if I knew a player at my table was going through a rough time, we'd be doing a one shot of something cute with chill vibes and some DM prepared characters. It'd be more about being a nice distraction, surrounded by friends 🙂

Personally, I recommend starting with 7. In my opinion, it is the one with the strongest plot. But play the original 7 before you play the remake, if you can. You will appreciate the remake more for having fallen in love with the original. The remake is like a love letter.
in case someone needs to hear this:
the main, uniquely numbered final fantasy entries are all new stories with new characters that you do not need knowledge from previous entries to play. you can just play whichever one looks the coolest to you.

Some help for getting that driver's license in some red states if you need to learn and need to be able to escape! I know it's super specific but maybe it could help someone.
I was trying to figure out what ways I could help with the tools I have. I work at an online driving school with courses in two reds and a blue state (TX, OH, and IL). Need to get your license to get away or just got to one of those states? Use the discount code in this thread.

I'll second this. Shotokan was so good for me when I was mired in the depths of PTSD. It was an outlet for fight or flight, it was a controlled environment, and there was an almost meditative aspect to each class. Mutual respect was standard in the class.
if i can do my one allotted unsolicited advice post: if you're someone who spends a lot of time on computer stressing out, consider signing up for a combat sports class. not because it's any kind of practical self-defense but to give your threat system a chance to cool down

I just want to drop a word here. The Star Wars sequels have something good for today in them. You can feel hopeless today, you can feel hopeless whenever you need to, but always always rekindle hope. It is a strong little ember, breathe life into it, and the sparks will turn to a flame.
