Some inappropriately creepy golf content - Sente Mini Golf (1986) has DIP switches that add photos of missing children to the attract mode (and to enable a "LOCATED" message per kid). These profiles were replaced with new ones in updated ROMs.

Modern operators seem to leave them on, a lot. 😨

A Reddit post from r/creepygaming by user SuperCamouflageShark - I saw these missing child reports on the attract mode of a Sente Mini-Golf arcade machine recently.

Yeah, this is one of my all-timers. If you like Final Fantasy Tactics, definitely play Tactics Ogre. And hey, the Steam version is just twenty bucks right now!

Tactics Ogre was first out 30 years ago in Japan (1995) for the #SNES. ⚔️ A masterclass in game story and writing (just look at these quotes!) and multiple endings to determine your fate. This is a time-honored classic, and a must-play for SRPG fans.

Yeah, that adds up. Data West had a lot of irons in the fire, but I think Bounty Arms was their only PlayStation project at that time. Another piece of the puzzle!

Yep, whether it was my parents saving money across the board or just teenage me using his dependent ID to get on the base for cheap video games, the commissary and exchange were great.

for those who don't know: the commissary (on-base grocery store) and exchange (on-base department store) are both tax-free and have deep discounts on all merchandise

it's one of the real perks of being in the military

so, y'know... WHY NOT GET RID OF THAT, it's not like the housing is great either

PSA: If you ordered the new Final Fantasy Tactics remaster from Amazon, the bonus poster is inside the game case. So if you open the shipping envelope and don't see the poster, open the game itself before you end up complaining to Amazon and then feeling silly.
