Labeling is a thing queer folk often avoid because we know how much wrong labels can impact a life.
But it isn’t wrong to call people whose entire career are built around destroying trans rights “anti trans activists.” In fact it’s important to let them not hide as “just a writer/journalist.”

The main reason for it is if someone's an activist (i.e involved in political action of some kind that might affect other people's lives) they cease, at least in the eyes of editors, to be a private figure who might not need their lives invading for chatting online with other people.
The phrase "trans activist" is goofy because like 95% of the time it's used it refers to a trans person simply existing.
