🎄✨ Christmas is a gentle reminder that even in tough times, hope still finds us.
May this season wrap you in peace, restore what feels broken, n remind you that you are deeply valued.
If this year stretched you, may the new one meet you with strength, clarity, n quiet victories.

Merry Christmas 🎄

Imagine interviewing a victim of torture and independently confirming the details of his torture and then being told you can’t broadcast it because the people who ordered the torture wouldn’t give their side of the story.

Now would be a great time for a 10 episode, 20 hour prestige series about the ten years between 1916 and 1926, covering the establishment of the 8-hr work day & 5-day work week, in the US. Each episode would be one year & the middle episode should be entirely devoted to the Battle of Blair Mountain.

What if, on #CyberMonday, we take the $$ we WOULD have given to Amazon, Target, Starbucks, WaPo, etc and used it to subscribe to independent media?

We could call it #MediaMonday and it would change the lives of independent journalists.

RFK Jr & Trump politicals are undermining science & CDC career staff. They are posting propaganda on CDC website & removing scientific information without consulting career scientists.
We are heartbroken. We are still here working to promote & protect the American people.

Nearly 8 in 10 Americans agree that spending by wealthy donors and corporations in our elections gives rise to corruption — including majorities of Republican and independent voters.

Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

We must overturn Citizens United.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

"How can we advance IAQ while public health and IPAC are still pretending ignoring aerosol transmission wasn't a huge mistake?"

Also: an actual expert (HVAC engineer, bioaerosol scientist, etc) or an "expert", like the MDs who shouted down experts in 2020 and killed an enormous number of people?
(this very big mistake that killed an enormous number of people, if anyone's looking for the citation)

Rand Paul: "When you kill someone, if you're not in a declared war, you really need to know someone's name at least. You have to accuse them of something. You have to present evidence. So all of these people have been blown up without any evidence of a crime."

hey @nytimes.com: there is no counterpoint here. There are no credible legal experts who would EVER say that the US military has any right or authority to blow civilian craft out of the Caribbean and kill their crews from afar without any provocation. There is no other side to this question.

it’s wild that in canada we’re talking about building oil and gas pipelines instead of just hitting the accelerator on electrification.

the longer we stay wedded to fossil fuels, the more we’re jeopardizing not just our environmental future, but our economic one too.
“China’s dramatic surge of investment into the ’new three‘—EVs, batteries, and solar—is expected to crush oil demand by 5M barrels/day by 2030. That cheaper green tech is now enabling 100+ countries to break free from … imported hydrocarbons towards the sunlit uplands of electric self-sufficiency.”
