This is why we desperately need new Jewish institutions, and orgs like @jewishcouncilau.bsky.social are so important.

The Bondi atrocity was committed by Indian men inspired by ISIS, a group who are emphatically not allies of Palestine.

The parties here want to obscure this to their own ends.

im not gonna post the others here for obvious reason but the next ones in the thread go:
"put a maga hat on her"
"have her arm holding the cookie extended in a roman salute"

genuinely a nightmare for any popular woman (or just any woman or girl or person) on x dot com

"Pauline Hanson wrote to Albanese asking him to lift a seven-day suspension from the Senate she received in the final sitting week of last year after she wore a burqa into the chamber. Hanson said the ban would prevent her from debating the new hate speech laws once parliament is recalled."

Good.

I have several friends who work for European companies that have quit everything Google/Microsoft. Having AI scrape all your stuff AND being at the mercy of companies that need to please the regime had to have been giving the Risk Management and Compliance people headaches.
This is an excellent question:

50 million barrels at roughly $50/bbl for heavy oil is $2.5 billion. Annual US federal revenue is around $4.9 trillion, so this represents about four hours and twenty eight minutes of revenue for the United States.

A really sad follow-up to this story — Alexis Erlinmeyer, one of the trans federal intelligence workers who was fired, has died of a pulmonary embolism. She was 31. Her family is burying her under her deadname, so friends are fundraising for an accurate memorial: www.gofundme.com/f/in-memory-...
NEW—In late Feb, Chris Rufo published leaked chats between queer/trans employees at US intel agencies. Then Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said she’d fire all involved.

I spoke to chat members who were fired, are on admin leave, and who kept their jobs about the new lavender scare:
Queer intel officers targeted by top secret chat leak get their chance to speak
Chris Rufo published the chats. Staffers say a new "lavender scare" is upon us.

For those of us not in the cult, this is what we hear when anyone from the Trump administration speaks.

For the people in the back, this is satire and so well done…

I further put forward that we be allowed to be a little bit rude about it. look what the obsession with civility has gotten us. if a person is being hateful or saying something untrue, you should be allowed to get a little bitchy if you need to!
my plan to get this country back on track consists of one bullet point: i propose we stop pretending stupid people arent stupid just because theyre loud and theres a lot of them

Same, except I'm getting flashbacks to Dubya's invasion of Iraq. Just to give the younger folks an idea of how this still affects my generation, i met up with an old high school pal a few months ago who told me he was shot in Iraq and now has a permanent disability.
I am struggling with what might be a generational experience. The gulf war was pretty politically formative for me. It’s not history so much as memory this time.

It is destabilizing to see almost the exact same gameplan but this time without the guardrails that at the time I took for granted.
