Thinking a lot this morning about how the dispersed nature of these kidnappings over such a broad area makes it so easy for them to avoid making bigger waves. The surface can appear totally calm while they're grabbing neighbors, and most people have no idea until/unless something flashy happens

Even the "admiration" for what he built is fake. If you had access to MILLIONS of dollars from ur dad + other rich white men at 18, most of you could have built an organization that targeted oppressed people too. I find all of it incredible. And they bleat on and on about MERIT, lol.

This plaque was among 3 that were installed today to complete the Ida B Wells National Monument in Bronzeville. I missed the ceremony but Michelle sent me some photos. It's among the greatest honors of my life to have played a part in making sure that Ida got her flowers. What a blessing! Go visit!

If the GOP reconciliation bill passes, ICE gets through FY2029:

- $45 billion for detention, on top of the current annual budget of $3.4 billion
- $14.4 billion for transportation and removal, on top of the current annual budget of $750 million
- $8 billion for hiring/retention
- Billions more.
