It’s Sam, someone Ed hooked up with a few times. Ed almost Slept with him after Stede left, but it was the wake up call Ed needed to go home to his mother. Before Stede is fully cognizant of what he’s doing, he’s putting the water aside at one of the booths and gliding across the dance floor. He comes up behind Ed, wrapping one hand over his chest and letting the fingers reach inside his suit jacket just enough to toy with Ed’s nipple piercing.

"Obviously." So Ed follows Stede to the kitchen, where he scoops a big bowl of Americone Dream for Ed and mint chocolate chip for himself, and they retreat back to the bedroom. As they snuggle back up together on Stede's bed, Ed hooks his foot around Stede's; he wants as many points of contact as he can get. Stede glances over at him, pure delight shining on his face; it's far sweeter than the sugary ice cream Ed's been scooping into his mouth.

Ooh, so I this year I published 4 novel-length (+40K) stories and wrote 4 novel-length stories, not the same ones since I write well in advance. I'll have published 310K words in 2025. I love working with artists and other writers in the process of creating, so those are my best memories. 💖

#WIPWednesday for Ligs4Ligs, in which actor Ed and bookseller Stede do their best rom-com meet-cute. This one is fluff, smut, and zero angst. Coming Dec 9th. #OFMDfic
White text on black background: The morning sun pleasantly lit the square, light refracting off the water of the central fountain and dappling through the trees. Stede took in the space as he strode across it, noting that about the usual number of people were sitting on benches or strolling around with shopping bags. He saw Roach rounding the corner toward his bakery and waved a hand in his direction before he disappeared through the door. Stede cut across the space diagonally, wending past a woman and her dog, and skirted the fountain. He didn’t think he could imagine a more ordinary day, so entirely representative of any other day of life on the square. Then he saw him. White text on black background: The man was stretched out on the bench directly south of the fountain, basking in the sun. His long legs were gleaming in the sunshine, tawny and shining with a smoothness that spoke of recent waxing. They were practically glowing with an inner light and were so entirely shapely that Stede couldn’t look away. Glorious, beautiful, enchanting legs. He shinned himself directly on the raised planters they’d added last fall as an enhancement to the local beauty. He lost his footing and tipped right over the corner edge, landing on his back, winded, with his favorite iced coffee splattered all over his top.

This week's #OFMD #WIPWednesday is just a sliver of a snip from Part 3 of Episode 6 of Your Time Starts Now.

After Episode 6 ends, there may be another intermission in publishing (having a bit of a time of it right now, but Episode 7 & beyond will be ready for your eyeballs before you know it!)
Ed had finished filming the last of the outros - not doing any of the stupid shit he normally did when he was feeling bored, like he was as eager as Izzy was for this filming day to be over. The autocue rolled forward and Izzy got himself situated to kick off the relevant clip after Ed had done the introduction. "I haven't been told much about this next task," Ed read, "other than it's going to be very interesting and exciting. So let's have a look!" The upcoming task had been initiated on location at the Taskmaster house, but would get its resolution revealed live in studio. Its placement in the edit was meant to be something of a reprieve from the bombardment of Bonnet bottom that had featured so heavily thus far in the episode. In the clip, each of the contestants walked into the Taskmaster house, to be greeted by Izzy standing next to a pigeonhole with their name on it. There was a small present wrapped in green paper in the pigeonhole, and every single one of the contestants had torn into it in the messiest way possible. The present contained a task envelope within which was a folded twenty pound note. Buy the best present for the Taskmaster. Here’s twenty pounds. You have ten weeks. As the clip ended, on a shot of a crumpled twenty pound note, Ed was already bouncing up and down on his throne, clapping his hands like a bloody child. While the clip had been playing, runners had quietly delivered the various presents to all of the contestants bar Bonnet. Because of course Bonnet had to be fucking different. Twat.
