In Japanese mythology Fujin is a Shinto wind kami (god) usually portrayed as a fearsome-looking deity sitting on or walking over the clouds and carrying a sack containing the winds. This print depicts Fujin blowing the gust of wind from the huge sack on his back.

Oh, you think you can tell AI writing from human writing by whether the author can talk lovingly and in detail about the characters and their motivations? JOKE'S ON YOU, I've written five novels since then and I can't remember shit, death of the author, those arseholes are YOUR problem now.

Please share this widely. There have been 13 peer-reviewed critiques of the Cass Review, to the extent that academia regards it as pseudoscience, but so far all have been subject to organised censorship by mainstream media. This is the first time one has broken through. Oz Guardian only still.
Worked hard to get this into Guardian Oz & big props to @fiercemum.bsky.social for setting it up & Melissa Davey for publishing it. She will doubtless get loads of hassle from transphobes for it, but it needs to be out there.

Winter Solstice night is always when I relisten to some of Rob Bell’s interviews with Alexander Shaia, who gave me this idea I’ve always held onto since I became a Druid and started observing tonight:

We light lights not to keep back the darkness but to adorn it, to love and exalt it

Very sad to say that our producer, Sarah, passed away on Monday night. She was a joy to work with, and it was a privilege to know her.

Sarah's wife Beth has requested that any donations are sent towards the hospice that gave Sarah care. If you're able, it would mean a lot: gofund.me/af1f41192

The games industry brings in 300 billion dollars a year. The guy who made DOOM gets his projects canceled, the guy who made Katamari Damacy is broke, everyone in your feed is begging for a job and there are 50 new games coming out on Steam every day all going towards buying Gabe Newell's next yacht
Keita Takahashi (Katamari, Wattam, Noby Noby Boy) has moved back to Japan, and says he may be forced to quit the games industry due to To a T underperforming.

He also says he'd love to work on Katamari again, and for someone to invest in his studio.
