Me too!!!!
It is once again time ⏰🕰️⏱️🕘 for me to share my strong feeling that “spring forward/fall back” is archaic and dumb.

I will always want more daylight in the evening. If it were up to me, every state would set their clocks to daylight saving time and keep it there forever.

I just bought this, and I can’t wait to get it! Art of one of my favorite Disney places, and it’s all for a wonderful cause.

Yeah, but what happened to the Dufrenes? No one seems to care. Who can eat at a time like this? People are missing. You people are selfish. The Dufrenes are in someone’s trunk right now, with duct tape over their mouths. And they’re hungry.”
Everyone has one Mitch Hedberg joke stashed in their brain like a squirrel to sustain them whenever they need to feel joy for 30 seconds and mine is “they say the recipe for Sprite is Lemon and Lime but I tried to make it at home, there’s more to it than that”

I work for SSA. I once had an applicant drop off medical records at my office, and he also gave me some veggies from his garden. My supervisor had to chase him down the street to return them because the veggies were an “improper gift”.
Breaking News: President Trump plans to accept a luxury Boeing 747 from Qatar that he will use as Air Force One and will keep using after he leaves office. The plan — involving possibly the biggest foreign gift ever received by the U.S. government — raises substantial ethical issues.

I’ve read 20 of these books! My favorite (I’ve read it several times I like it so much) is Station Eleven and my least favorite, by far, is A Little Life.
Here's a fun thing: We at Kirkus have spent the last few months reading and debating the best books of the 21st century (so far!) in fiction, nonfiction, and young readers' literature. Here's the list of 100 fiction titles: www.kirkusreviews.com/fiction/best...

I absolutely loath Return of the Mack by Mark Morrison.
Fuck your favourite song. Tell me your least favourite song. The one that makes you die inside the moment you hear the first 3 seconds.

Fuck this. I’ve never been more stressed about my job than I have since DJT’s inauguration.
Duffy: "This whole movement is potentially gonna make people go, 'I'm gonna come to work earlier. I'm gonna stay later. I'm gonna look at what Donald Trump wants me to accomplish because he won the election, and I'm gonna fight and work to make sure I help him accomplish that ... I work for POTUS.'"

So occasionally Disneyland has $50 child tickets, but only if your child is under 10 years old. Tweens and teens pay adult prices. Such a bargain!

My 2 most Boomer traits — 1) I want a paper map at places that charge an admissions fee! Don’t tell me to scan a QR code. 2) No one should ever talk on speaker phone in public, especially public transportation.

This is so scary.
Several conversations today w people in the key executive departments. And while the particulars are hard to pin down my impression is that the Musk take over stuff is considerably worse than is being presented in the press. By this I don’t necessarily things they *done* yet but the level of …

The combined stress of being a federal employee right now and having a child with a significant mental health problem is trying to break me today. One of my kid’s biggest stressors is my job/me possibly having to go back to the office/the possibility of moving. It’s awful & I can’t do anything.

Book 4 of 2025

I love Ina’s cookbooks and show, but this book was a little too name-dropping and “oops, somehow I became a millionaire by accident” for me. Where is my millionaire luck? I guess I’m not ready yet.

Baby parrots!
Fun fact - the parrots we study vary a lot in how they sit when we take photos!
Some (regent, superb and swift parrots) sit up nicely looking like perky little birds🫡
Others (gang gang and OBP) just kind of flop over onto your hand and look like a puddle 🫠

very cute, very silly 🪶🧪🐣🦜🌿🌏

My sister and I loved this movie when we were kids. We even owned it on VHS.
A movie I remember seeing on tv as a kid was about a girl who does horse diving where the horse gets up on a diving board 100 feet off the ground and then dives off. It took me a long time to realize how weird that movie was and that it was a real thing done by insane 1930’s maniacs who hated horses
