It’s absolutely tragic to see back-to-back pedestrian fatalities in the Richmond metro. These losses are casualties of building for cars, not humans. Every metro region locality should double down on Vision Zero and save lives.

vaccination rates inherently take years to fall like this, especially in an aging population, but remember — we also don't have much of a cushion when it comes to measles herd immunity
The share of counties where 95% or more of kindergartners were vaccinated against measles has dropped from 50% before the pandemic to 28%, according to our analysis of public records from 44 states and the District of Columbia. At least 19,000 schools are now more vulnerable to outbreaks.
