The presidential oath of office includes a vow to "preserve, protect and defend" the Constitution, but this one is literally mocking other leaders for doing just that.
Trump on Minnesota: "If we didn't have to fight this horrible governor and this horrible fake mayor -- Frey. 'This is the Constitution of the United States.' People don't want to be mugged!"

It's not just shameless and greedy. It's cruel.

Avowed Christian Donald Trump has never heard of praying before meals.
Trump: "Mike Johnson is a very religious person. He does not hide it. He'll say to me sometimes at lunch, 'Sir, may we pray.' I'll say, 'Excuse me? We're having lunch.'"

Again, claiming that members of the other party cannot, in fact, share your broad religious faith is 100% at odds with the basic idea of the National Prayer Breakfast.

And saying Democrats shouldn't be at a non-partisan event "because they certainly don't give us the vote" is just batshit insane.
Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast: "I don't know how a person of faith can vote for a Democrat. I really don't. *crowd groans* I know we have some here today. I don't know why they're here, because they certainly don't give us their vote ... they cheat."

I wrote about the origins of the National Prayer Breakfast in ONE NATION UNDER GOD as a deliberately non-partisan event that sought to transcend party politics, so watching Trump treat it like a campaign event is always a little odd.
Trump at National Prayer Breakfast: "They rigged the second election. I had to win it. I needed it for my own ego. I would've had a bad ego for the rest of my life. Now I really have a big ego. Beating these lunatics was incredible ... The first time they said I didn't win the popular vote. I did"

It's hilarious that Trump is lazily going through the motions of the National Prayer Breakfast as his cult is planning to erect a literal golden idol of him.
