Many get sick while traveling.

One major reason is they don’t realize mass transit is high risk because airline CEOs lied about viral spread early in the pandemic and lobbied the CDC to lower precautions.

To make the most of your holiday, take precautions like wearing a mask when you travel!

I have issued two changes to my book regarding the water footprint of data centers. I've detailed the changes and the context behind them here: karendhao.com/20251217/emp.... Given the nature of book changes, I wanted to make sure anyone who has an existing copy of the book is aware.

I’m not debating anything with antivaxxers. Predecessors in my field eradicated smallpox in the Americas. Eradicated wild polio during my mother’s childhood. Eliminated measles when I was in elementary school.

COVID denial killed my 31 y/o science-denying brother.

Goodluck and God speed.

Australia recorded ZERO cases of cervical cancer in women under 25 for the first time since they started tracking the cancer in the 80s.

This is the power of vaccines.

The problem with ICE is not that it's targeting people who aren't criminals. The problem with ICE is that it's an unaccountable secret deportation police. It cannot be reformed under a better president. It can be made less terrible, but the instrument of repression remains for the next tyrant.

When students say they’ll never need to learn to do stuff without LLMs, I often remind them that they could lose their job and be publicly disgraced in the New York Times. Not to mention the part where they robbed a guy of justice because they were so lazy and unethical.
Prosecutors in California used A.I. to argue that a 57-year-old man should be held without bail, his lawyers say, filing a brief that included wholesale misinterpretations of the law, as well as quotations that do not actually appear in the cited texts. nyti.ms/3M1bVye
