🎁 For this holiday season, consider gifting COLOR TASTE TEXTURE! It’s a great primer for people of all ages with little to no experience cooking. If you have some neurodivergent friends and family, or parents of littles, they might love this! It’s not just a cookbook, it’s a new approach to food. 🎁
I’m an Autistic classically trained chef and I wrote a food aversion acceptance cookbook and guide titled COLOR TASTE TEXTURE, that’s all about finding out what works for specific sensory needs and how to customize food for them. It’s useful for all ages, no cooking experience necessary.
Color Taste Texture by Matthew Broberg-Moffitt: 9780593538593 | PenguinRandomHouse.com: Books
An accessible family cookbook that offers solutions rather than tricks to empower the food-averse, autistic, and picky eater, with 46 recipes. This much-needed cookbook combines tips and techniques.....

The problem with mentioning Laundry Service is that it's still got the ability to get about 9 songs simultaneously stuck in my head. (Well, sequentially on a very short cycle).

Except I just learned that some weren't even on the US CD? I don't even know which one I have (ripped it years ago).

I don't even need to peel it off; I just want to squeeze the top one more time.
New service where I come around to your house with this mucilage bottle with dried glue on over the rubber applicator so you can peel it off.

Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

(The only one I could find didn't have a poster or imdb entry so this one is the closest I guess)

Remember how in the 90s sometimes when you answered the phone with "hello," you'd get absolutely blasted for rudeness for not answering with "good morning/afternoon/evening, ________ residence, _______ speaking" or whatever bs idea they had as the only way to answer a phone?

No more family Thanksgivings! My parents are basically a write-off anyway, and my mother-in-law at the last one deliberately tried to disguise something I can't eat in almost every dish.
Actually in the spirit of this conversation, what’s a decision you made about a past Thanksgiving holiday that really paid off? I think people often feel trapped by their lives. Sharing our experiences can liberate us from that sense of claustrophobia.
On the most recent episode of VIBE CHECK, we answer listener questions about Thanksgiving, most importantly “do you go celebrate with the family members you don’t even like?”

They're also responsible for one of the best emails I've ever received, when the college office sent out a plea for sightings of Professor Biscuit while conveniently forgetting to mention that he was a cat...(I won't comment on how often a similar email might have gone out about human Professors...)
