Officially we still have formal commitments to health equity.

Clearly, we (all) have work to do. Please share/join the conversation.

Bowel screening change 'totally unethical' | E-Tangata
“We’re going to be left with people who go: ‘You know what, my uncle or my brother or my cousin died from bowel cancer. And it should have been picked up in a screening programme.’ Make no mistake, th...

This guy wants to get rid of mangroves. There is research on why that is a very bad idea. And supports a waste to energy plant that is also a very bad idea. If you live in Kaipara maybe he needs some better competition at the next elections.

Meet Kaipara’s fishing-mad mayor – the 'Trump of the North'
This Kiwi mayor was thrilled when the president-elect won the US elections: "It's great because it's the end of woke."

My friends @thefutureisrail.bsky.social will submit this petition to Parliament on Monday at 1.20pm. Is your name on it? If not, please sign it. NZ NEEDS fully rail-enabled ferries between our two main islands. Otherwise we'll see many, many more trucks on our roads in the near future. #kikorangi
Don’t cast us adrift! Ensure Cook Strait ferries can carry trains.
The ageing Interislander ferries must be replaced. We believe it’s crucial that new ferries are rail-enabled and publicly owned, letting rail freight and equipment move easily between the North and So...

I have a PhD in Traffic Psychology (road safety focus) and a long time ago worked for the NZ Ministry of Transport as a human factors scientist.

This is absolutely what the evidence says.

Any other claim or message is political and not based in facts.
"The evidence is clear and the message is simple: reducing speed limits saves lives. It’s time to get on board and help all our families get home safely."

My father thinks Wellington Mayor & council are useless and cycle lanes are destroying CBD businesses.
My father NEVER spends any time in Wellington except for hospital visits.
My father gets ALL HIS NEWS about Wellington from The Post.
It fucked with his head, but he thinks he's being informed.🤬

The stupidest thing this current coalition did was to give tax cuts to landlords as their very first action.
It means all other subsequent cuts or underfunding are compared to this.
Nothing has been worth that handout to to the rich, ESPECIALLY not this.

It's so wild, I am always 21 years old when I am on a bike, not sure how that works but I love it
Don’t let age define your transportation. Getting older is inevitable, but living a dull, status-quo life isn’t. Returning to the bicycle for urban transportation as an adult was my choice, and one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s given me experiences I’d have missed otherwise.

WE SHOUKD BE DOING THIS.
The HSA's Code of practice on Indoor Air Quality has been in force since May 2023.

It is now a legal requirement that all workplaces in Ireland
Must keep CO2 below 1000ppm at all times.

This includes schools and healthcare settings.

If this is not the case, action must be taken.

This has to be THE video of the week. I’m going to rewatch this every time I’m feeling a bit down and hopeless. Because there is hope in resistance. And we can be part of the resistance.
Māori MPs briefly suspended the Aotearoa parliament’s attempts to reinterpret their founding treaty in the most bad ass use of the Haka I’ve ever seen.
