We white folks need to come right out and say, not just defund ICE, but ABOLISH ICE.

We should not have these jackbooted thugs abducting people off the streets and abusing them in illegal concentration camps.

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Republicans are currently starving millions of people in order to force Democrats to cooperate in cutting health care for millions of people.

We've gotten so inured to this shit. It's just monstrous, horrific behavior.

We can participate in democracy and be flawed while also having non-negotiable. No nazis. No racists. We aren’t abandoning trans people. Triple the minimum wage. Universal healthcare. Reproductive freedom. Etc etc etc. Stand for something! Appeasement accomplishes very little.

During Thanksgiving and holidays, people want to do food drives where they collect canned goods etc... and I really would love to offer that food banks need MONEY so if you can collect and donate MONEY please do that. They can then use those funds to purchase what's needed AT DISCOUNTS.

Do not be bullied, cowed, or shamed by bad-faith right-wing actors and MAGA that are blaming "liberals" and everyone who isn't MAGA for Charlie Kirk.

Call them out for their hypocrisy. Go on offense. They are fine with political violence and mass shootings when it's against the rest of us.

The MSNBC commentator saying that most political violence has historically come from the left just once again showed how we suffer from failing to learn history. Lynching, pogroms, race riots, the political violence that ended Reconstruction, and against the Civil Rights Movement. Come on.

I can’t stop thinking how Brad Lander’s NYC Council office had a snow shoveling program that would match neighbors who needed it with others who could shovel for them, and how much mutual aid could be scaled if we someone in local government to help coordinate and a modest amount of funding.

The library and the post office are the only two systems we have that circulate things widely and to everyone, no matter who they are or what they believe. The library is the only one that, for now, is not forced to pay for itself at point of sale. Attacks on IMLS are attacks on every one of us.

Thank you, Senator @alsobrooks.senate.gov! Continue to fight for our country by voting No on cloture and the Republican CR.
I was proud to introduce my friend County Executive Ball today and discuss protecting our workers.

He has heard directly from Maryland civil servants who have gotten resignation letters at the same time as receiving letters for promotion.

This Administration is a disgrace.

Thank you, Senator @vanhollen.senate.gov! All Dems should follow your lead!
I said it once and I’ll say it again. I am a HELL NO on cloture and HELL NO on the Republican CR that provides Elon Musk a slush fund to support his illegal operations.
I will be voting no on the House Republican CR

Yes - there’s so much that can be done at the local level! I can point to actual infrastructure in my city that exists in part because of my advocacy. People underestimate the impact they can have locally.
