One way to stop the US economy is a general strike, which everything in our culture and society has conditioned us against.

Shawn Fain has already called for a general strike in May 2028. I get it, we may not last that long, but a general strike takes planning. www.thenation.com/article/acti...
Shawn Fain’s New Year’s Resolution Is to Lay the Ground for a National Strike
By having contracts with all the Big Three automakers expire on May Day, 2028, the UAW president also issued a challenge to the labor movement. Will his union be ready to meet it?

It’s hard to interpret this as anything other than wanting to cull disabled people.

Amazing graphic.
What’s harder to believe?

That universal healthcare is so radical and complicated that we’re the only country in the world without it.

Or…

The millions of dollars in insurance and pharma campaign donations each year to members of Congress are actually just bribes to block it.

I don’t think any rational person would argue that we shouldn’t take TB seriously! So it’s batshit insane that we aren’t taking *COVID* seriously, and it breaks my heart that people will needlessly continue to die from it.
One last point to finish up the story: TB is still the second-biggest infectious killer in the world. What’s the MOST infectious killer?

COVID.

Which we don’t test for, don’t track, don’t contact trace, don’t mask against, and don’t isolate for.

The most powerful movement in American politics right now is dedicated to making sure that everyone who is not already rich gets dumber, sicker, and poorer in the future. The euphemisms are already by the wayside; it's basically text, not subtext, that kids today are learning way too much stuff.

Headlines about Maine throwing Trump off the ballot are significantly more normal and less huffy than when Colorado did it, which should be a lesson: the more you do the obviously right thing, the less the press will do its weird song and dance about norms and precedents

PSA: the CDC has a program that pays for your COVID vaccine if your insurer won't. The guy at CVS told me that my insurer had not added the new vaccine to its formulary yet, so I'd need to pay $190. I told him about this program, showed him the website, and paid nothing. 🤗

So many folks are sick again so I share this with love: you must rest. Rest won’t guarantee you don’t get long covid but it’s a huge mitigator. Even if you have an accute mild case. Even if you don’t feel it at all. Send this to your boss. Make your partner clean or use disposable dishes etc.
