I can't explain it - but this "Thursday afternoon massacre" and the principled stand taken by these prosecutors has made me feel the most hopeful I've felt in weeks.
The interim US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, a FedSoc member and former Scalia clerk, has done more to publicly expose the corruption of the Trump administration this week at greater personal cost than any elected official I can think of.

The problem here for Trump is that he’s not in a position to give Putin what he wants, even if he’s minded to. No decision made in the White House will be binding on Europe, or even on the next US administration. And Putin knows that, too.
