I'm going to be very clear about something: I work with policy professionals and policy wonks and Stancil's positions aren't where a lot of people in the field are right now. A lot of people are looking at policy from a diamond in the rough perspective and want to build power from the ground up.

The amount of ignorance this person is assuming on my part is kind of staggering lol. Beyond misinterpreting what I say they think I need to be told about the Republican party and extractive Southern institutions as someone in the non-profit policy field in the South.
No uh... that's bad. The absence of services, is bad. LA is failing because of Republicans and the long shadow of Southern extractive institutions

I remember my music scene dying around 2013-2014 being such an existentially awful experience for my identity lol. Seems kind of funny in retrospect.
