Quand un ministre poursuit un humoriste,  ce n’est pas une mauvaise blague. C’est un tournant démocratique. Dimanche dernier sur Radio Nova, Pierre-Emmanuel Barré fait une chronique sur les violences policières. Barré rappelle :
 Les viols commis par des policiers
 Les révélations sur Sainte-Soline
 Les ordres illégaux venant de la hiérarchie Les morts à la suite d’interventions

Aucune invention. Aucune exagération. Ce sont des faits. Il termine par une blague, volontairement outrancière, dans la pure tradition satirique politique : “Des viols, des mutilations, des meurtres et des mecs qui se filment en train de faire tout ça en se marrant, en fait, la police et la gendarmerie, c'est Daesh, avec la sécurité de l'emploi.” Le ministre de l’intérieur porte plainte contre PEB pour cette phrase. Ce qui choque le ministre ? Pas les viols. Pas les mutilations. Pas les morts. Pas les ordres illégaux. La blague. C’est ça qui déclenche l’indignation officielle ?

Screenshot of a feedback form with the text: I'm writing about the upcoming change to the Bluesky TOS. Bluesky put out a feedback request and despite many people voicing concerns about the changes, very concerning updates have been maintained. Bluesky has MANY moderation tools that users can utilize themselves to restrict content that they don't want to see without needing to prevent the content from being published on the site as a whole. Aside from content labels, there are user-run moderation lists and feeds so that anyone can curate their content easily. Despite this, you have chosen to move forward with some incredibly harmful policies that restrict free speech. I implore you to remove the following policies: 1) The restriction of FICTIONAL kink content. Non-con, dub-con, and “dangerous” kink content that is FICTIONAL does not harm anyone. 2) The restriction of content depicting or discussing self harm, suicide, and substance abuse. Requiring content about these subjects to only be “educational” is extremely harmful to those dealing with these issues. Stigma only serves to further endanger people in crisis. If these policy changes are not removed then I, among many others, will have to look for a different platform to use.

Wow we’re having “games are art” discourse again! Just gonna leave this here.

From my dissertation:
2.1 Lenses, Not Boxes I wondered whether this section was necessary, but games discourse seems to repeatedly find itself adrift in questions of whether _ counts as a _. We have seen the question repeatedly: Do games count as art? Do games without goals count as games? Is The Sims a game? Are hypertexts interactive fiction? Are Twine pieces literature? In fairness to the researchers cited here, all of whom I respect immensely, many of these sources pose or imply the question rhetorically. Still, the necessity of such a framing frustrates me. "Is _ a _?" is, in my opinion, a fruitless question. The question can never be answered to anyone's satisfaction, and it often serves as either a provocation to espouse politics or as a cover to institute gatekeeping. Its agenda is usually opaque to onlookers and bewildering to those trying to advance the field from across disciplines. We should be thinking in lenses, not boxes. It is always more interesting to ask "If we think of _ through the lens of _, what do we learn?" We know it is more interesting to ask "What do we learn by considering Tom Stoppard through the lens of poststructuralism?" than to ask "Is Stoppard's work poststructuralist?" And while some works may be more or less fruitful when examined through different lenses, sometimes the most unlikely pairings of lenses and objects are the most rewarding. Certainly any of the questions above would be much better served by reframing them in this way.

Something I'm missing with this PQ discourse. All posts I see seem to assume they and their carpooling friends are all winning PQs and late season events can't even fire. If your region is anything like Finland, then you'll have 4 PQs of 16-32 people each and missing 1-3 winners is irrelevant
