My hot take is that if does not actually matter to Palestine, or to any Indigenous population, what DNA tests show. I'm obviously not an Indigenous person but if my DNA showed I was 96% donkey and 4% tardigrade, it still wouldn't be okay to kill me and take my house.

I am currently very into ice age hippos, and it is actually pretty amazing how much we DON’T know about their chronology given that they are used as a kind of indicator for MIS5e.

Here they are, lolloping about Europe in stage 4, for example (but for me, stage 6 is where I want answers!)

Dart thought these were tools used by #Australopithecus africanus, his “killer ape”. Turns out, they are remains left by a carnivore with no hominin intervention.

One of my favorite examples of a scientist just completely getting it wrong. And a reminder that getting it wrong is part of science!
