If you wouldn't have an account on Truth Social, you shouldn't have one on X. Their ownership, content moderation policies, and effects on the world are indistinguishable (though X may be worse on some counts).
So @davekarpf.bsky.social and I are at the same conference right now and the way we are tag team shaming people for still being you know where and not being on this cool platform called bluesky is something to behold 💅🏽

lot of negativity towards AI lately, but consider :

are these tools ethical or environmentally sustainable? No.

*but* do they enable great things that people want? Also no.

*but* are they being made by well meaning people for good reasons? Once again, no.

maybe you're not being negative *enough*

Hi. I was away for a week. Hope everyone is doing well.

There are people who believe the reasons for my absence are shameful and disqualifying for full participation on public life.

Those people can snort my taint.

If you need help, get help. Don’t wait to be in crisis. You can feel better.

One of the toughest problems Microsoft has to solve is that Windows has to serve two very different types of users: business users who don't want this at all, and home users who don't want this at all.

Following @mmasnick.bsky.social and the threads he replies to has made me realize that Americans treat the constitution the way religious people treat the bible. The parts they like they insist on a dogmatic literal interpretation and the parts the don’t like they just ignore existing.

A lot of AI questions become easier to answer when you substitute the proper definition of “word blender” for “AI”

“Should I let a word blender drive a car?”

Probably no.

“Should I ask a word blender for medical advice?”

Oh hell no.

“Look at this art my word blender made!”

Duuuuuuuuude, wtf
