If you are stopped by ANY variety of law enforcement in the United States, you should ID yourself if you're in a stop and ID state, ask if you're free to leave, and say:

I do not believe that we actually are in disagreement. My statement is that some people use the term to refer to a specific presentation or experience. Others are using it in a way that a folks lateral or internalized. Certainly not all.
