The lawbreaking that's been committed trying to prosecute Comey dwarfs the petty ante shit they're accusing him of.
No need to be a Comey fan to marvel at how fantastically weak and pained this case would be even if competent prosecutors were handling it. Proves my theory that Comey is the luckiest man alive.

Me on DOJ’s behavior: “it’s malevolence *exacerbated* by incompetence. That’s problematic enough for the government’s credibility before federal district judges. But at some point soon, one suspects that the Supreme Court itself may well have to grapple with its consequences—or risk being duped.”
194. Another Bad Week for the Presumption of Regularity
Three different flashpoints highlight how much the Trump administration has done, in such short order, to undermine its own litigation efforts and to damage—perhaps irreparably—DOJ's credibility.

kind of a quintessence of neoliberalism to blame bad flying experiences on people not wearing ties and not being sufficiently cheerful.

oh, you are complaining because the airline cancelled your flight and wouldn't give you a refund? obviously the problem is you aren't happy enough! 1
Duffy: "Trump talks about the golden age of transportation. But the golden age in transportation truly begins with you ... People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly ... so we want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season: Help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

So, if Borealopelta can withstand 125,000 joules on its armor.

And a .50 Calibur round deals about 20,000 joules.

That would make ankylosaurs pretty damn near bulletproof.

Genocide is still happening in Gaza.

And, at a slower - but still horrific - pace, in the West Bank.

I thought you should know.

"This wasn’t a state dinner, but it was a state funeral for a billionaire class whose gusher is rapidly running dry."
The rack of lamb has been devoured, but the putrid stench of oil and death lingers from the appalling dinner where America's business elites toasted the killer of a D.C. journalist, Jamal Khashoggi

How "woke corporations" became accessories to murder. My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/ceos...
The night America’s doomed ruling class gorged on lamb, blood, and oil
For America’s deeply corrupt billionaires, time heals all wounds — even from a murderous Saudi prince’s bone saw.

NEW: President Biden commuted the death sentences of most people on the federal death row before exiting office.

President Trump is now effectively looking to retaliate, and to detain those people in the most brutal conditions in the federal system. Bolts reports:

I can't put into the words the visceral hatred I feel towards the administration in the US. The pain their behaviour is causing to Ukrainians is unforgivable.

Ukrainians have russians terrorising them with missiles & drones. Now the US is terrorising them with russian demands for capitulation.

COP30 overpromised, underdelivered, empowered distractions, backtracked on issues and once again gave big oil and big ag a free pass.

Unfortunately, the suspicions of climate scientists (here in Brazil and abroad) were confirmed again.

The more psychological realism you demand from stories the less they have an opportunity to mean something. Or at least, it can be incredibly distracting.

In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

So, this is one of those weird corporate history things: the 80s "Marvel Productions" cartoon logo was actually the "DePatie-Freleng Enterprises" (DFE) animation company, which had been sold to Cadence (which owned Marvel Group Inc) in the 80s and renamed it for branding reasons...

Socialism is what they called public power.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.
