Played through Despelote this morning, finally. A gorgeous work of art that really hit home. Ireland qualifying for the 2002 WC was a major life event for 9 year old me. This captures that feeling so well.

We were flicking around for something to watch and went through the schedule for the day, it was absolute crap so I'm not surprised. Amandaland was the best thing on all day. They need more like it.

I love this set so much, how the baroque detail of the illusory city makes it feel More unreal, a Borgesian vibe, a glittering city that looks alive but vanishes when you look away, a city of facades, a city built for the spiritual torment of one man (beginning to sound more Calvino-esque).

Finished the Stranger Things episodes. I still enjoy the show a lot, love the little character moments and dialogue (and all the pop culture references the Duffers fit into everything). But this show is rocketing to its finale and it's starting to wobble, with bits and pieces being left behind
