I apologize on behalf of white people all the time. As long as people I am related to believe that people who are not white are a threat to their continued comfortable existence, and act as such, I will keep apologizing, because I am deeply ashamed that my words and actions have not been enough.

I miss reading fiction for pleasure. It was my best dissociative escape. When I quit smoking, my ADHD lost both a stimulant and a dopamine source. Every addiction I lose makes me less functional in a different way.

So #Gabapentin, the miracle drug for nerve pain, can cause dizziness, confusion, problems with word retrieval, falls, dementia like symptoms, all of which *feel* like being high. You also can’t stop suddenly because of dependency. I can’t use it because it’s disabling. Explain the difference please

Cancer is gone. But so is 1/3 of my lung. Even with VATS, it was major. I got cleared today.

They sent my son home from the ER yesterday with multiple kidney stones on both sides and a prescription for ibuprofen.
We’re going to need to go BACK to the ER tonight for another Toradol shot, because he’s passing stone 2.
He deserves actual fucking pain relief.

So ready for 2025 to be over. Eldest is in ER right now with severe abdominal pain. For him to *notice* pain, it’s already at a 6 or 7. I’m guessing appendix. Glad I’m already on medical leave.

When a parathyroid gland was removed in February, I got sent home with Vicodin.
When a third of my left lung was removed, I got Tramadol, Motrin, Tylenol, and a new sodium channel blocker that works for acute pain.
I am two weeks out, off NSAIDS due to GERD and hiatal hernia. I. Want. Opiates.
