I read a lot of amazing non-fiction this year. Here were some of my favourites:

1. How To Survive A Plague by David France.

A detailed, moving, and very frustrating, account of the slow response to the AIDS epidemic. As the subtitle says, it's the story of how activists & scientists tamed AIDS.
