This is the same attitude we saw with the pandemic. These people only care about money and power.

They only care about you:

1) if being seen doing so furthers their political interests

2) insofar as you can work—and not enough to support living wages.
that about sums it all up

I'm not sure, but the multiple failed strategy of pointless impeachment with a 0% chance of conviction that liberals seem to want to pursue again without a single word on how this would succeed seems unlikely.

I'd suggest learning from revolutionary movements around the world.
Great, Erik. My city is occupied by sadistic murderers. I can't go to the grocery store without running into a bunch of heavily armed thugs who would happily shoot me and my entire family. My children are sad because their friends can't go to school anymore. What's your fucking solution?
Given that Dems impeached Trump twice for no political gain, to call this logic tortured undersells the word

JD Vance proclaims that all federal police enjoy "absolute immunity" from prosecution for any crime.

In other words, Vance is giving the go-ahead for DHS and others to murder anyone, at any time, and without cause, due process, or regard for the safety of others.

They don’t believe in American ideals. They hate them, in fact. They hate this country. They want to radically transform it such that they are protected by its laws but not bound by them—only their opposition is bound.

They want to kill Americans they don’t like. They are fascists.

This is fascism

People might argue that ICE is not recruiting quality agents.

But I would insist that they are in fact successfully recruiting the exact sort of person needed to carry out the mission: reactionary, angry, violent people who don’t believe in democracy.

Alan Elrod: The killing of a woman by an immigration enforcement officer in Minneapolis was the raw application of Trumpist authoritarianism.

Here’s a comment for the people who are upset that MN hasn’t charged Jonathan Ross already:

If you just Leeeroy Jenkins this shit you will lose and you will empower fascism and murder.

It is indescribably hard to prosecute cops for murder. It is even hard when the murder is ON VIDEO.

exactly. when he shot Good it caused the vehicle to accelerate out of control and smash into another car down the block. if the chud had actually been in the way he could have gotten himself killed
Underdiscussed how the admin's (plainly bogus) case rests on the idea that the officer's life was in danger while completely failing to explain how firing a gun point blank at the driver decreases that danger. Like that's probably the stupidest thing you could do

Weird to be commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Am Rev while living under a government that has a) sent armed troops to occupy cities perceived to be too rebellious, b) rendered largely irrelevant the representative branch of government, and c) claimed imperial right to rule other countries.

Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.

I wrote about reporters’ refusal to use “act of war,” “invasion” or “coup” when covering Trump’s brazen attacks on Venezuela, instead echoing WH-approved euphemisms, and the broader trend of our press dutifully giving Trump’s lawlessness the vague whiff of international legitimacy when it has none.
