This is literally directly across the street from an elementary school.
Map showing the school directly adjacent to where the tear gas canister was thrown.

This is a VERY well crafted lawsuit.
1) Plaintiff is natural born.
2) He was detained 2X in a fast-growing part of Alabama, not in a city that Brett Kavanaugh could be easily duped into believing was all migrants.
3) Unwarranted detentions were on private property.
4) He showed Real ID both times.

Spent the last decade reading conservative blogs use the word "Orwellian" more than they used the word "the" and now they're literally just saying "War is Peace" out loud in front of everybody.

Can’t even laugh at this. The idea of these meatheads skulking around my beautiful, glittering jewel box of a city, looking to tackle every non-white person they see, makes me sick to my stomach. This is the real domestic terrorism.

ICE attempted
and failed to disappear a food delivery guy.
It needed to be scored.

Gentle reminder that in the late '50s, the U.S. government did not censor comics. Comics companies censored themselves.

Not sure why that crossed my mind today but there it is...

in light of the kimmel news, just a reminder that a few days ago a prominent fox news host literally called for killing homeless people. right afterward, someone shot up a couple homeless encampments.

that fox news host still has his job.

The movies don't really get into it, but it's worth remembering that Denethor went crazy because he spent too much time doomscrolling on the Palantír and it cooked his brain

The Beat won an Eisner but we're not resting on our laurels! We are still looking to fill three roles at @comicsbeat.bsky.social:

• New Editor - you live and breathe the news and clench your jaw when someone beats you on a story.
The meeting: a statue of two men having a job interview or other business meeting, surrounded by briefcases and lunch, but in a very odd 70s kind of vibe. Photographed at Baltimore Convention Center.

I believe one of the new mRNA vaccines was expected to treat colon cancer, and another had the potential to keep pancreatic cancer from recurring. That’s what they’re taking away.
