Please say “ethnic cleansing” when posting this stuff because that’s what they’re broadcasting. They’re broadcasting plans to engage in ethnic cleansing.
DHS now says it's aiming for 100 million deportations. In an amazing coincidence, there are 104 million Black and Hispanic people living in the U.S. right now.

When we say the Trump regime is white supremacist, we must acknowledge their end goal: to eliminate those of us who aren't white (or white enough, or loyal enough, or whatever else enough)

All fascist projects are about "purifying" the "nation" to distract us from the actions of the robber barons

Love this sooooo much for all of us!!!
Sooo many folks I’m excited to work with on Mamdani’s technology transition committee. All hands on deck to bring the Affordability Agenda to life: childcare, housing, transportation.

While its easy to get swept up in personality, this is a group focused on peoples real needs. LETS KEEP THE FOCUS.

The depth of the shame of a country this wealthy and abundant allowing its people to go hungry is impossible to measure. The fact that a handful of people could fix this by paying their fair share of taxes while still remaining obscenely wealthy makes it even worse.

I have no idea what white people are talking about right now. The warnings that the fascists will "use this" to do more violence. WHAT WON'T THEY USE? You've watched them deploy the US military on US soil using bullshit pretexts. What even are you talking about?

I remember early November 2023. I think I was the first person on US mainstream media, while at MSNBC/Peacock, to say the G-word on TV. On my show. It was seen as hugely controversial then. It's controversial no longer. It's undeniable, irrefutable, the consensus view.

I'm not the only one to make this point, but there will need to be the equivalent of Nuremberg Trials when this is all over (however long that takes). If there are no consequences for fascists, we'll keep having fascism.
Inhuman. “I don’t have any choice” is a lie.

Was just talking with my partner about this. Social media is like walking into a room full of people who know history because they watch the history channel, and then provide evidence in the form of free speech claims.
The internet has "leveled the playing field" in an unhealthy way. Most people with years of training, decades of experience, and a proven track record of making the world a better place are at a disadvantage to the glib, charismatic motherfuckers who can spew bullshit for hours on end.
"debate" gamifies politic conversation and replaces the actual stakes of the subject being debated with interpersonal stakes of clout and such. the demand for the version of civility that features in these conversations amounts to trying to water down even the interpersonal stakes

Today, the word “Luddite” is used as an insult to anyone resistant to technological innovation. But a recent book argues that Luddism stood not against technology per se but for the rights of workers in the face of automation.

Exactly my thinking.
I think we’re on the cusp of mass attempts to automate teaching, and I also think it is going to be a massive wasteful failure in ways that will make the “learning loss” of the pandemic look like a speed bump next to a mountain.
