If Indiana is salvageable, any program is salvageable, and I would have liked a program far closer to Harrisonburg to try such a thing...
UCLA football is probably unsalvageable but Bob Chesney is a great attempt by them

Did I just record a 54 minute podcast by myself talking about Heated Rivalry? Of course I did, why wouldn't I? Men's hockey has never been gayer, it's a time to celebrate. I'd love you all to listen to it here:

He still probably gets hired away somewhere next year but another year of Jason Eck's New Mexico is a good thing for college football.
SOURCE: New Mexico and head coach Jason Eck have agreed to a new five-year deal with a raise to an average salary of $1.75 million.

Lobos are 9-3 this year and could get their first 10-win season since 1982. One of the best stories in CFB this year:

New Mexico’s revenue sports had one good year. Then almost everyone left town
Heavy football roster turnover is common in college sports’ free transfer era, but New Mexico faced a rare double-dip this year.

And I wouldn't want it any other way. Today was Hatin' Ass Jags, next week might be "the Colts set foot in Jacksonville and turn into goo", the mystery box is an identity!
Tony Romo was talking about how the Bills have their identity of running the football and having Josh Allen, so I was thinking about other teams in the AFC's identity.

Broncos: insane defense and opportunistic offense
Pats: Top tier QB play and coaching

Lol, Zillow tried to rate the climate risks facing individual properties. The real estate industry *hated* it, precisely because it worked -- it made selling risky properties more difficult. So they rebelled & Zillow caved.

Don't look up!

All of the "this isn't the NHL even though it works exactly like the NHL" stuff from Heated Rivalry is really funny, and yet the funniest part to me was a moment in the second episode where the Habs goal siren showed up randomly. I guess goal horns aren't subject to copyright.
It’s deeply funny/sad how insistent the NHL’s lawyers must be that Heated Rivalry not get associated with the League because they really made the show go out of its way to constantly remind us that it is Not the NHL.

Maryland not firing Locksley because they're broke bois is obviously infuriating and terrible, but at least Locks is a good human being though out of his depth in his job. Fitzgerald... oy.
I don't know what MSU needs to fix their program (the post-Dantonio years have been bleak) but I'm reasonably confident that Pat Fitzgerald isn't it.

I am really mad at Tottenham Hotspur right now but not only is there a coach of a team I follow I want fired way more (hello @skipjack.bsky.social), but I remember being more mad at Sherwood, the end of Poch, Conte, etc. Doesn't make any of this any better but...
Brentford game is MASSIVE. I’m looking forward to it 😂

Tottenham can no longer hurt me, it’s not apathy, I’ve lived through genuine shitstorms of mediocrity and this right now isn’t one of them.

Grow a pair. Players and fans alike.

I have seen reports that suggest they've already hired Fitzgerald. I think my opinions on that hire can be easily inferred.
If I was Michigan State, don't go for the flashy hire, go for the Midwestern guy who has worked his way up the ladder as an OL coach. Go get Jason Eck from New Mexico before mama calls from Wisconsin next year.

He's grown and Dave Canales has grown throughout the season, been a fun watch.
still think bryce young's limitations but a real ceiling on how good he can be but easy guy to root for and it rocks seeing him dealing to knock off the rams

Because it's the AFC South, I don't think many people realize how nasty this rivalry can be. Some of the guys on this team who have been here long enough know.
I think the fellas finally understand our hatred of the Titans.
