Some folks are getting confused by this scenario but the upshot is that vaccines are already approved on the basis of placebo-controlled trials, what RFK is trying to do is eliminate vax updates, which don’t require placebo controlled studies. So basically trying to kill annual flu/COVID updates.
Just to be clear, this is a violation of the fundamental ethical principle in clinical trial design called "equipoise."
Equipoise means that no-one is exposed to excess risk just to test the therapy. That's specifically *why* vaccine trials don't use placebo arms.

during the winter, we probably spend 5-10 hours a week between several amazing local libraries. idk enough about the history of public libraries to know why they're so great but boy would it be hard to be a parent without them.

it's like really cool to be in a field where we dealt with death threats during the peak of the pandemic while being told we were heroes, and now we are being there is basically no point to our jobs anymore.

People also need to understand this isn’t federal money, this is DC money collected through DC taxes. They’re openly stealing from the city with the intent to immiserate the people living there because they resent the idea they should be allowed to govern themselves.
