Can Aboriginals have their own head of state too?
Maybe the Irish need their own head of state?
When will the Palestinians get a visit from their head of state?

And I should add, because of the “major event” status, the protesters that were injured or wrongfully arrested cannot sue the government or police for their damages. So no accountability except at the ballot box.
If the objective was public safety, the response was perverse. The outcome was entirely predictable. It was about control not public safety. The police conditions were designed in a way that made failure likely. You can’t lawfully disperse a crowd that you have physically prevented from dispersing.

To remain influential, Australia must continue to invest in the the qualities that amplify middle power status: Strategic clarity; soft power credibility; multilateral fluency, and resilience. We can set the tone of global governance if we are principled prepared and proactive.
While Trump considers scrapping AUKUS, Australia remains committed to a spending billions each year on a deal that ties us to US military aggression against China. We need an independent defence & foreign policy that doesn’t mean bending to an increasingly erratic Trump USA.

I agree, Dutton and his ilk are not able to demonstrate the subversive power of teachers because there aren’t any. And Uni students are smart enough to employ critical thinking skills when it comes to interpreting their professors and peers personal points of view. It’s what it’s all about!
Dutton’s “woke” education rant is rubbish.

No examples, just lazy stereotypes.

Education is about learning to think critically & explore all views & perspectives not culture war BS.

A brainless attack for headlines, by a brainless politician, not policy.
